I cheat when I make granola bars

Ok im no pro at granola and I'm sure there is an easier/better/healthier/vegan or whatever way to do this but these were simple and delicious!!!
They are a combo of chewy and crunchy.
We took these bars on a road trip for several days at room temp and they held up just fine. I think they taste sort of like a Payday candy bar because of the sweet peanut butter flavour.

Ingredients:
Makes a Dozen Bars
  • wax paper(pre cut into rectangles for wrapping the bars), twine, small saucepan, large mixing bowl, large spoon
  • One 12oz bag of Dry Loose Granola
I used Bear Naked Fit in Vanilla Almond
  •  1.5 cups peanut butter
I used fresh ground pure peanut butter
  •  1/2 cup Honey
Local is always best :)

Directions:
Heat Peanut butter and honey in a saucepan on low heat till mixed well and smooth, stir frequently, the peanut butter mixture will get a nice melted but still thick texture.
This takes less than 10min
While thats cooking pour your dry granola into a large mixing bowl.
Once your peanut butter mixture is well incorporated/melted together scoop it onto the dry granola, MIX MIX MIX, till its well distributed.
Portion your mixture out onto 12 small pieces of wax paper rectangles and shape them with your hands by folding over the edges around the mixture like a rectangular burrito.
Tie twine around to keep it closed, because its adorable and since tape wont stick very well to wax...
Refrigerate about an hour till they set.

Pretty Peasant Dresses

Soooo I went on a peasant dress making rampage for my own daughter, as well as some friends & family members...
They are SUPER easy to sew the sizes I made ranged from 6m-10yrs
I used an adaptation of the pattern and tutorial from:

Here are some of my Results:

Lets start here...

I suppose I should give a little explanation about what this blog will be about/dedicated to... From the title you could assume it will be sewing/cooking related although I'm sure my wandering craftiness, gardening endeavours, and love for all things awesome will most likely pop in from time to time. I spend several hours each week sewing for fun (mostly for my daughter since my older kiddos are too cool to wear mommy made clothes.) I also spend a great deal of time in the kitchen cooking up whatever I feel like cooking because I can do that... Sooooo I figured I would just start posting here instead of all over my facebook. I will always do my very best to link you to any external links for any patterns, recipes, or who knows what that I am playing around with or creating. I hope you enjoy yourselves, if you have any requests/suggestions for sewing projects or things that are delicious just comment below...
